Everything about 12th exam cancelation and beyond?

On1^st June 2021 Central board of secondary education had a meeting which was presided over by PM Narendra Modi. CBSE the prime educational body in India declared that they will not be conducting the 12^th Board exams as anxiety and unhealthy atmosphere amid covid-19 pandemic, does not provide a conductive environment for examination. PM Modi Highlighted that “The health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect,”

CBSE is working on the process about “how to evaluate marks for class 12^th.”

There are two main ways by which CBSE can derive final marks for 12^th students.

First is to asses’ students based on 10^th Exam Marks, 11^th Final Exam Marks & 12^th Preboard Marks or Half Yearly Marks. 100 marks will be considered for every subject and out of which 80 will be based on CBSE criterion and 20 will be based on internal assessments. For 80% marks (CBSE criterion) 50% will be considered from 10^th Board exam marks and 50% will be given based on 12^th Preboard, six monthly and Unit Exams.

Second option is to give weightage to 10^th marks and 12^th Internal assessments.

However, CBSE is also thinking to give “chance of examination” to students who are not Satisfied with proposed method. Final decision is still pending and it is believed that CBSE will introduce final evaluation method in next 2-3 days.
