The Centre of Career Development (CCD), GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida, organized an interview simulation activity, Darpan- The Job Expo, held from 1st June 2021 to 5th June 2021.

To facilitate the assimilation of the process of interviewing in the candidates as imparted so far. By putting themselves in the shoes of the recruiters they developed the tendency of answering the questions the way the recruiters demand. This activity aimed to prepare our management graduates for the upcoming interview process during the placements. The activity was held for a week long period in the online mode. The activity was covered under the ESIP module organized by the CCD. It was a simulation of a Job Fair wherein many companies interview candidates in a given time frame together under one roof. Here, the students played the role of interviewer and interviewee interchangeably.

The interviewers and the interviewees both were professionally dressed up. The candidates who were able to collect three offer letters underwent a final round of interview preferably by the Corporate Guests, Mr. Ashish Garg- Manager Training and Academics, IIFM and Ms. Neelanshi Rawat , HRBP, BLA Internationals.

The following awards were given away to the winners:

  • Best Interviewee (to be decided on the basis of their final interview scores)
  • Best Interviewer (to be decided on the basis of interviewing skills by the faculty coordinator)
  • Ms. Professional
  • Mr. Professional
  • Special Shout-out : for exemplary performance

Ms. Madhuri , Mr. Ansh Sharma, Mr. Mojahid Ahmed Siddiqui and Mr. Anuj Pratap Singh: Special Shout-Award.

The four-day activity intended to:

  • Explore the Inner-view of a candidate’s personality, thereby coaching them to be Industry Ready.
  • Development by a two-fold process of putting them into the shoes of a recruiter and job aspirant both.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the interviewing skills of our Millennial Managers.
  • Contribute towards their confidence building to face the challenges put forth.
  • Assist them in learning the etiquette required to fit themselves in the corporate world.
