Your family or friends can act as the interviewer and you can answer them like an interviewee. You can also think of the hardest questions related to your job profile and relating to your expertise and try to frame the best answers for them.

SELECT YOUR OUTFIT

Try to find out from the website or social media posts about the preferred outfit in the organization where you are going for an interview. You will get an idea from the pics of existing employees of the type of outfit the organization follows. It can be Indian formal or western formal. If you are confused, a formal business suit is always the preferred one. Along with clothing, the choice of footwear is also important. It should always be covered and a formal one. Jewelry and makeup should be subtle and should not be too loud. You should have a few outfits to appear for the second and final round of interviews which is called shortly once you crack the initial round.

REACH THE VENUE BEFORE TIME

Plan your journey to the interview venue well in advance and select a suitable mode of transport which should be a reliable one. Take some extra margin for traffic and route congestions and try to reach the venue before the scheduled time. Don’t try to be over-smart with the interviewer. Any good interviewer will judge you within the first five minutes of your interaction with the interviewing committee. Be confident of your knowledge, expertise, skills, and competencies, and try to be honest with the interviewer.

ASK QUESTIONS

Most of the time, at the end of the interview, you will be asked to ask questions if you have. It’s always good to ask them a few questions about the job profile, job responsibilities, and what they expect from the candidate. This will show your interest in the job and company. In the end, before leaving the room, give the interviewer a good handshake and thanks.
