Samarpan – The CSR Club of GIMS organised a 5-day donation drive to help needy people and instill a sense of social responsibility, empathy, and generosity among students. Daan Utsav is not just about monetary contributions, but it also encourages giving time, skills, or simply acts of kindness to make a positive impact.
This drive was designed to provide opportunities to students to engage in community service, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and experience the joy of giving, shaping them into compassionate and socially conscious individuals. The donation boxes were kept in the reception area where students, faculty and staff were donating items which can be used further. During this event, the campus was filled with a vibrant and collaborative environment, and we collected clothes, books, stationery and other items which can be donated. On the last day of the event we successfully wrapped up the event and collected material was distributed among needy people along with some edible items for the kids.
