Samarpan: The CSR Club, GIMS, successfully conducted an insightful Fireside chat Session on “Preserve Nature, Protect Future” which was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Byju Kurian, Social Development Expert, Bisleri International Pvt Ltd. The session started by sharing his inspiring journey in the field of sustainability and CSR.
The session focused on the importance of integrating sustainability in every moment. Key discussions included balancing business goals with environmental responsibility, identifying and avoiding greenwashing, and the power of youth in driving grassroots change. Mr. Kurian also shared moving stories from his fieldwork that highlighted the quiet but powerful impact of real-world CSR initiatives. We were provided with valuable insights into sustainability and social responsibility. He aimed to inspire practical action, deepen awareness about environmental challenges, and explore how youth can contribute to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future. The session concluded with an empowering message: meaningful change doesn’t require perfection, it is just intention, consistency, and care. It was a valuable experience for students, offering both insight and inspiration to take real steps towards a sustainable future.
