Vishleshan: The Research Club, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida, in association with SPSS South Asia (P) Ltd, Bangalore & QTanalytics, Delhi, organized four days on-site (15th February 2021 to 18th February 2021) value-added certification workshop on “Data analysis using SPSS.” The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Prabhat Mittal of Delhi University, and Prof. Pradeep Verma, Area Chair, coordinated the workshop – IT & BA, GIMS, Greater Noida.
Dr. Mittal addressed the student and faculty members and explained the utility of data analysis and its practical implementation through SPSS in our professional life. The workshop began with the explanation and utility of SPSS, i.e., SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), the set of software programs combined in a single package. The primary application of this program was to analyze scientific data related to social science. The data can be further used for market research, surveys, and data mining.
The objective of this Four-day hands-on workshop was to enhance the students’ analytical skill sets by familiarizing them with the various research methods, statistical tools used for data analysis, and how to use SPSS to conduct analysis and apply the right tools and techniques while conducting research.
