Samarpan – The CSR Club of GIMS, held an Expert Session on “Evolving Paradigms of Cyber Security” in which Ms. Preeti Yadav, DCP, Police Commissionerate, G.B. Nagar (UP), provided insights on the evolving landscape of cyber threats and the importance of robust cybersecurity measures in the digital age. She highlighted the need for proactive measures for individuals and organizations. Students explored the evolving threats of cybercrime, including phishing, identity theft, and financial fraud.

Key takeaways emphasized the absolute need to safeguard sensitive information like OTPs and bank details from disclosure. We stressed the importance of scrutinizing unknown calls and messages, avoiding suspicious links, and implementing robust security measures like strong passwords and two-factor authentication. The interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage with Ms. Yadav and gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
