CR/AR Elections PGDM Batch 2020-22

The first elections for the CRship for the batch 2020-22 were organized amidst the cold wave of January 2021. The elections were coordinated by the Dean-OSW, Dr. Ruchi Rayat and Area-chair CnD/CRC, Dr. Shalini Sharma. Since the position entails a lot of responsibility, proactiveness and attitude of ownership therefore it had to be a test of the personality of the individual’s strength and capabilities in almost all the fields of management. The selection process had three steps contesting, writing, and finally proving one’s acumen for the position. The contenders put a great show ahead but the winner has to be one only. The CR of the first term was Mr. Mojahid Ahmed Siddiqui. The AR for the first term was Ms. Khusboo Kumari who was unanimously chosen on the basis of academic performance and public demeanour by the faculty members.

The AR and CR performed more than the expectations of the faculties, staff and students of GIMS, Greater Noida. But as they say – Change is the law of nature, therefore, the change was bound to happen. The elections for the II term for the batch 2020-22 were held on the 22nd of October 2021, after the successful completion of the one year tenure of the former CR and AR.

This time the selection of both CR and AR were primarily based on elections (voting) from student’s end through Google form along with the faculty’s judgement. Interested students were to register themselves for the elections and present their reasons and plans of being a CR and AR. They had to contest for their run to the positions and convince the students and faculties to select them for their contested positions.

The selection criteria were based on certain parameters such as:

  • Their academic performance throughout the year.
  • Interpersonal Behaviour.
  • Class participation and activeness.
  • Participation in extracurricular events, etc.

And on the basis of these parameters, Mr. Manoj Kumar Mahato was selected as the CR and Ms. Sumedha Srivastava was selected as the AR for the last academic year of this batch.

We are sure that they will perform the expected tasks and duties as with utmost dedication and enthusiasm and will make the institute proud.
