Centre for Career Development (CCD), GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida organized the First Outbound Training Programme on the 30th of December 2020 for the Foundation Batch 2020-22. The programme commenced under the presence of Dr. Ruchi Rayat (Associate Professor), Prof. Mayank Pandey (Head PGP), Prof. Pradeep Verma (Associate Professor) and followed by the welcome address of our Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh.

The learning begins with experience, developing leadership, communication skills, and performance planning amongst students. It was an evidence-based effective training method for enhancing student and team behaviour. The programme incorporated different outbound activities for students like Ice Breaker Games, Rope Twister, Valley of Acid, and Survival Exercise. The students showcased their creative skills and exhibited leadership qualities.

This programme also proved to be effective in bringing behavioural changes and personal efficiency among the participants, demonstrating that individuals could become more cohesive, lose their inhibitions, open up, and become more receptive to learning. It also illustrated that, despite differences in cultures and ethnic backgrounds, people can live and work together and that it is human nature to be helpful.

After spending time outside, students tended to bond in ways that online study did not allow. The students thoroughly enjoyed and valued the program. It aided students in forming stronger partnerships and alliances with one another.

The program rounded off by rewarding a token of appreciation to all the students and the refreshments to cool down for the first lecture of the foundation batch the next day.

Note: During the event, all the government compliances related to COVID 19 were followed.
