“First aid transforms ordinary individuals into everyday heroes.” 

With great enthusiasm, we are delighted to share the successful completion of the First Aid Module Workshop conducted for B.Sc. (N) 1st Year students (Batch 2025–2026) on 30th January 2026, from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM, at the College of Nursing, GIMS, Greater Noida.

The students actively engaged throughout the workshop, demonstrating keen interest and enthusiasm in learning essential life-saving skills. The event was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Nursing Tutor, GIMSAR.

This academic program was organized by GNIOT Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in collaboration with the Government Institute of Medical Sciences – Institute of Advanced Healthcare Skill Centre and GIMS Vidya Setu – A Bridge to Healthcare Excellence.

 Workshop Objectives
 To understand fundamental first aid principles and the critical role of nurses during emergencies
 To perform rapid patient assessment using the ABCDE approach
 To develop hands-on skills in managing bleeding, burns, fractures, choking, and shock
 To apply infection control practices and safety measures
 To enhance communication, documentation, and teamwork within the healthcare setting

 Module Highlights
The module emphasized rapid assessment, life-saving interventions, injury management, infection prevention, and the nurse’s pivotal role in stabilizing patients until advanced medical care is available.
