Greater Noida Institute of Professional Studies (GIPS) organized a session on Resume Building and LinkedIn Account Management on Friday, 28th January 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.The session received a good response from BBA,BCA and B.Com students. The Resource person for the workshop was our industry expert Mr. Gaurank Upesh Satam (Sr. Communication coach -Learning & Development)
Prof. Dr. Savita Mohan welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person. She said that creating a resume can be challenging when we start thinking about all the information we need to share with prospective employers. In the same way, LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network on internet. You can use LinkedIn to organize offline events, join groups, and write articles. If you want to learn how to create an effective resume and ways to manage your LinkedIn account, you are at the right place. As our enthusiastic trainer Mr. Gaurank Upesh Satam (Sr. communication coach- Learning and development, Microland Limited) will guide us. He commenced the session with introduction to Resume, Importance of building Resume, and the difference between Curriculum Vitae and Resume were put forth with minute details. Mr. Gaurank helped the students to understand do’s and don’ts in a resume. In addition to this, different sections of a resume that one needs to format and types of format were discussed. Later he introduced that how effectively we can manage our LinkedIn accounts. As now a days a professionally written LinkedIn profile allows you to create an online professional brand which can open doors to opportunities and networks. The session made the students aware about how to draft a resume to focus them to the competitive world.
The session concluded by having one to one interaction about related quires of each student. Now students can update their resumes online and offline. Prof. Ashutosh Singh thanked the Resource person for delivering such an important presentation.
