Internal Combustion (IC)

29 March 2022
GNIOT Campus

Department of Mechanical Engineering is going to organize a workshop on Internal Combustion (IC) Engine under the aegis of Institutional Technical Committee and Tech Mechanizer’s Technical Club on 29th March, 2022. This workshop will be very helpful and beneficial for mechanical engineering students as it provides basic working knowledge of IC Engines which are the base of any automobile vehicle. Further, in this workshop student has to be exploring with the assembly and disassembly of IC Engine components. The main objectives of the workshop are as follows;

1. To provide knowledge of various types of engines, components, specifications and their working principles.

2. To aware students about general concept associated with IC Engine like stoichiometry (Air-Fuel Ratio), ignition, combustion, cetane and octane rating.

3. To provide information on current scenario related to pollution and emissions controls.

4. To provide knowledge of different engine systems such as cooling systems and lubrication systems etc.

Furthermore to make the workshop more practical and interactive an assembly and disassembly competition is also included.
