MICROCONTROLLER & AVR

10 September 2022
GNIOT Campus

Microcontrollers are an inevitable part of a mixed circuit design. They are ‘the brain of the systems’ and has a huge application in almost all areas like embedded systems, power electronics, modern Electrical systems, instruments etc. Based on this concept, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT), organized Five Days workshop on “MICROCONTROLLER & AVR” for their 3rd year students, during 06.09.2022 - 10.09.2022. The main objective of this workshop was to provide the fundamental knowledge of 8051 CONTROLLER and AVR Processor with hands on practice. The topics covered in the workshop include – Hardware and Software Programming. The workshop also provided students a hands-on experience with the concepts of Arduino Uno-based simple projects from basics and acquire more knowledge on microcontroller boards, embedded systems, development board fabrication, controller design and circuit debugging. The outcome of the workshop was in the form of implementation of a sample working project. The entire session was very Knowledgeable, very Interactive and Informative for both faculty and students.

The highlight of the workshop includes:

Installation of drivers and softwares.

Architecture of 8051 Micro controller

How to dump Hex File in the Kit

Programs on Single LED, 2 LEDs all LEDs

Glowing multiple LED Using Switches, Displaying Message on LCD,

Training on Atmel AVR Programming, project on Home automation, dc motor interface,

Hands-on / Practical sessions on AVR ATMEGA.
