Sports are a means of recapturing our energy and streamlining it in a direction to win. Sports enhance our team-spirit, motivate us and rejuvenate our spirit. Sports teach us that merely winning doesn’t matter; it’s the participation which matters a lot. The objective of “YuvSpandan” was to build confidence among the students, make them interact with the corporate guests, play and strategize with them to win the games. It aimed at providing an informal platform to the students to interact with the corporate guests.

The event began with opening matches of Table tennis followed by Chess, Carom and Badminton. The students exhibited their talent and enthusiasm by actively participating in all the games. To participate along with these prospective managers, some guests from the corporate were also invited to the campus. They were Mr. Arun Kumar Mukherjee CEO and Marketing Head- Airflow Equipment Pvt. Ltd , Mr. Rohan Singh Rajput – RM- Corporate Salary, HDFC Bank Ltd., Mrs. Archana Kumari, Product Manager – Easybill Ltd (Associate – SBI ). The guests played with the student and shared their experience of the corporate world with them. The millennial managers also gelled well with the guests and had plenty of queries about their career graph and steps to follow in order to establish oneself in the corporate.

Before the lunch all knock-out rounds and the semi-finals were completed. There were arrangements of refreshment for all the participants. Followed by lunch, the exciting finale of each game took place. The event culminated in a Post-Event Presentation where the winners were applauded by presenting certificates to them. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Mayak Kumar Pandey- Head PGP. The winners were given away their certificates by the corporate guests and the faculty members combined. At the end the chief guests shared their experience about working, struggles they faced and their learning in the corporate life. The Post-Event Presentation ended with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Ruchi Rayat- Dean OSW and a wrap-up by Dr. Shalini Sharma – Area Chair Communication & Development, the event coordinator.
