GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) organized Cultural event on the auspicious occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti festival.
The celebration started in the presence of Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, GIMS), Mr. Rajesh Gupta (Chairman, GNIOT Group), Mr. Swadesh Singh (CEO, GIMS), Prof.Mayank Kumar Pandey (Head PGP), Dr. Ruchi Rayat Dean (OSW), Dr. Shalini Sharma and Prof. Pradeep, esteemed guests and students . The traditional huge bonfire was set up with various kinds of sweet delicacies on display for eating together. The rituals were conducted by all the heads and students together. The mood on the campus was optimistic and the students were totally engrossed in the festive spirit of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. All the heads of the
campus gave words of wisdom to all the members and students who were presented over there to cheer up the spirit at most. The commencement of activities was followed by Ansh Sharma’s influencing speech on Importance and significance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Everybody had a gala time as few students of PGDM batch 2020-22 tapped their feet on Punjabi songs. Last but not the least everyone shared peanuts, popcorn and rewri as a way of paying gratefulness to nature’s bounty. Finally, the cessation of celebration was overwhelming, as the institute took a great initiative to distribute blankets and sweet delicacies to the needy people because celebration is not about enjoying with our loved ones only but with others also by giving back to the community.
