Innovex 2026: From Ideas to Prototypes and Future Startups

Today, the GNIOT Business Incubation Center (GBI) conducted the third round of Innovex 2026 , marking an important milestone in our journey to identify, nurture, and support student-led innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship.
The initiative began with 120 teams comprising approximately 500 students , bringing together a wide range of ideas and entrepreneurial aspirations from across GNIOT Group of Institutions . Through successive rounds of evaluation and refinement, 15 teams comprising approximately 75 students advanced to the third round, presenting their ideas for the next stage of support.

The occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Dhiraj Gupta, Director, Greater Noida Institute of Technology (Engineering Institute), whose presence and encouragement reinforced the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship.

The participating teams were evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising:
1.    Dr. Vaishali Kesarwani, Co-Founder, Rapidontics Labs Private Limited, Lucknow 
2.    Dr. Utkarsh Rathore, Co-Founder, Rapidontics Labs Private Limited, Lucknow 
3.    Mr. Saurav Ujjain, Co-Founder, Sheath Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore 
4.    Dr. Anuranjan Misra, CEO, GNIOT Business Incubation Center
5.    Dr. B. N. Agarwal, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Success Story: Turning Student Ideas into Entrepreneurial Opportunities
The initiative’s next milestone is the selection of five teams for prototype-development support of ₹1 lakh per team by Government of Uttar Pradesh. It also envisages supporting five teams in establishing startups, with a proposed funding pathway of ₹50 lakh per team over five years , subject to the applicable programme terms and milestones of StartUP Policy, Government of Uttar Pradesh . These opportunities aim to help promising ideas progress from concepts to prototypes and, ultimately, sustainable ventures.

The official results will be announced tomorrow, 28 October 2026, at 11:30 AM at the GNIOT Business Incubation Center.
