Plantation Drive in Village

The Department of Information Technology is going to celebrate in the form of a Plantation“That’s the way I do things when I want to celebrate, I always plant a tree. - Wangari Maathai”

The Department of Information Technology is going to celebrate in the form of a Plantation Drive by IT second and third year students in “Rampur Khadar” village (village adopted by GNIOT) On 15/2/2023 from 10:00 am onwards.

Objective of this drive is:

• To plant trees as Tree Plantation drives combat many environmental issues like deforestation, erosion of soil, desertification in semi-arid areas, global warming and hence enhancing the beauty and balance of the environment.

• Trees absorb harmful gases and emit oxygen resulting in an increase in oxygen supply.

The planting of a tree is a modest form of immortality and one of the few truly long-term expressions of hope to mortal human beings.
